No, I am not converting this blog into a lyrics detailing
website neither do I have any stake in the movie or the music company :-P, the song is just something that I was hearing
the other day and which has inspired me
to write this blog. But before I start off with this blog, I would like to say
this is one of favorite songs, which has got a great melody while retaining its
simple feel. You can read the lyrics above and watch video here on youtube.
While this song is beautiful, it also is an ideal example to
depict any love affair. For example, this song is apt at the start of a love
relationship, when the chemistry between the couple is budding and when the two
are an inseparable lot sharing almost each and every thing (ahem). It is at
this time that both the young at heart sing the song as is picturised in the
movie viz., they have the pain the angst of separation.
Though this all hunky dory at the start of relation, there
is dramatic and much expected twist as soon as the relation progresses and matures.
Here the song switches onto these two major types, the first being
a)
when the relation becomes clingy / needy i.e., one partner of the couple becomes the clingy
type who always wants to be with the opposite partner, which results in the
other partner aggrieved due to lack of space singing the song ‘Jao Na’ with the
hidden meaning ‘Go Now, Give Me Some
Space, Please, etc , etc.’ So the aggrieved partner basically wants the
other person to be not so clingy and needy.
b)
The other major type of mature relation is when
one partner becomes overbearing or
authoritative in the relation, calling all the shots in the relation. In
this case, the other or the aggrieved partner sings this song ‘Jao Na’ in a
pleading manner viz., asking the overbearing partner an opportunity to go out
and enjoy. So basically this time the aggrieved partner is basically singing
the song with the hidden meaning ’please
let me go, can I go, should I go, my friends are waiting, etc’.
Readers
of this blog may have various other categories of love relationships, however
for me, these are two most commonly found. While I wrote this blog to bring in the funny
angle of a relation, I would also like to emphasise on how important it is for
a couple to give each other space in a relationship while also sharing most of
their important times with each other. This not only helps nurture and grow the
relation but also prepare the groundwork of a strong, stable and fulfilling
relation to make it a happily ever after love life. :-)
